Temporary Traffic Orders

NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL has made a Temporary Traffic Order affecting the U78031 Long Lane from its junction with C179 Rectory Lane for a distance of 414 metres southwards in the PARISH OF MULBARTON because of works to install traffic calming islands. 
The road will be temporarily closed (except for access) from 21st October 2019 to 1st November 2019 for the duration of the works, expected to be 12 days within the period.

SWAINSTHORPE (URGENT NOTICE) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTION 2019 
Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 – Section 14(2)


In accordance with the provisions of Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, the Norfolk County Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that owing to plain line renewals the use by vehicles of the C179 Church Road 10 metres either side of the level crossing in the PARISH OF SWAINSTHORPE will be temporarily prohibited between 23:00 and 04:00 each night from 11th October 2019 to 14th October 2019 for the duration of the works, expected to be about 4 nights within the period. If necessary the restriction could run for a maximum period of 5 days.

Alternative route is via: C179 Church Road/ The Warren Lane/ Rectory Lane, U78030 The Common, B1113 Norwich Road/Main Road/ Mulbarton Road, A140 Ipswich Road (Mulbarton, Caistor St. Edmund and Bixley, Swainsthorpe, Stoke Holy Cross, Swardeston, Keswick and Intwood)
